Expo Chicago
“We roamed through Chicago as cultural detectives—each gallery, private collection, and Wright house a clue in a bigger narrative.”
KIN staged a journey through EXPO CHICAGO and its hidden corollaries—crossing city lines into Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie House, Kavi Gupta’s gallery, and Stefan Edlis’s private collection. Curated through the lens of lived experience and buying intent, we mapped the fair not just as a commercial event, but as a mosaic of modern creativity in motion. This excursion was produced by the Santa Barbara Museum of Art.
Expo Chicago isn’t just an art fair—it’s an arterial pulse in the Midwest’s cultural body. Through side streets, showrooms, and museum interiors, we traced how art circulates between public spaces, intimate collections, and architectural history. Our visit reframes collecting as curiosity, not conquest—where every step invites reflection beyond the booth.
