Expo Chicago

Roaming through Expo Chicago and satellite experiences with a purpose—buying art. Organized through the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, this trip also looks into icons of the Windy City. Most notably, we visit Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie House, Kavi Gupta’s gallery spaces featuring exhibitions by Kennedy Yanko and Jeffrey Gibson, and the private collection of Stefan Edlis.

Known for it’s architecture—the city that defined suburban living through Frank Lloyd Wright, and the invention of the skyscraper—this city has a lot to offer the culturally curious. Expo Chicago is a fantastic art fair, as it opens the doors for smaller galleries, more experimentation, new artists, and a different community vibe. This fair and surrounding artistic experiences ia great way for early collector’s to get their feet wet.

In visiting such a wide range of spaces and experiences, our group left feeling inspired.
