Rooftop at Preacher’s Son
What if a historic bell tower could morph into the backdrop for community, craft, and conviviality?
We reimagined a former Gothic-Revival church as Preacher’s Son’s rooftop lounge—a relaxed, beverage-centric space that hugs the structure’s existing bell tower. Working closely with operations, ownership, and food & beverage directors, we led full-scale interior design, creative direction, and procurement. Intriguingly, every element—from lighting to glassware and landscaping—was sourced exclusively from products available via Jet.com, aligning design with inventive sourcing strategies. Through this careful layering of history, hospitality, and creative constraint, the space became both intimate and iconic.
This project wasn’t just about adaptive reuse—it was a reinterpretation of place. The rooftop transforms the narrative of church architecture into one of warmth, gathering, and approachable elegance. By gently onboarding modern programming into a historic shell, we honored the past while cultivating new satires—where authenticity meets experience and history becomes social infrastructure.
