Private Home, Austin

“We walked into a home humming with color and quiet authority—where every work demanded attention, not permission.”

What We Did

This project took place behind the walls of a private Austin residence—designed by Fern Santini—as a collaboration grounded in trust and aesthetic daring. Brought in as art advisors, KIN curated a collection that pulsed with energy and intent. Works by Cruz Ortiz, Jeffery Gibson, Mimi Lauder, Philip K Smith III, Vivian Springford, Kennedy Yanko, and a monumental commission by Paul Kremer were woven into the home’s architecture and rhythm. Photographed by Douglas Friedman, the collection doesn’t occupy space—it transforms it.

Why It Matters

This isn’t about decoration—its out identity made visible. In this home, art never whispers. It becomes conversation, memory, and bold presence. Every piece reframes how the residents move, pause, and inhabit their space—proving that private collections can resonate as cultural statements, not silent trophies.
