We believe in artists in the most expansive definition of the word. Artists that work because they can’t stop, because creating makes them feel alive. In every corner of the country, artists are working in garages, on street corners, and in studios, making art that speaks to what it means to be alive today. We champion these artists. Our exploration of communities across the country has uniquely positioned us with one foot in the international art market and the other in artist studios on forgotten backroads.

Our practice is driven by our passionate expertise in the contemporary art market, a refined taste level, and the understanding that the consideration behind the installation of art in a space is as important as the artistic merits of the work.

COLLECTInG

A human and honest approach to art advising. We search all levels of the art market to showcase the artists who have something unique to say. We have specific interests in introducing first time collectors to the art world, and showcasing breakthrough artists that work off the beaten path.

KIN believes that collecting is emotional. That art, objects or books connect you to defining memories that made you who you are, a period of time that you are passionate about, or a way to preserve vivid, heartfelt experiences from your travels. These collections hold stories of the people that created them and the people that come into contact with it. They bring joy to your space, and sometimes allow the past to exist in the present. The unification of the objects within your space is uniquely yours…it becomes a part of you and you a part of it. Activation & Programming

Our relationship with the arts grows and builds upon an initial experience with a painting or a song. We believe in hearing from the artists, connecting conversations around ideas, and further exploring the depths of what art means and how it makes us feel. Activating public collections and programming unique experiences is an extension of our own creative research process. We travel to talk to artists, see their studios, listen to music around fires, and get to know these people. Those experiences feed and fuel our relationship with their work. We bring that experience to the public through dynamic programs in public realms.
